I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The room was very clean and had all the comforts I needed, from a cozy fireplace to a well-equipped library. The only downside was the worn-out furniture and the tiny shower room with the sink in a separate alcove. The service was top-notch, with helpful and enthusiastic staff who made my stay truly enjoyable. The location was perfect for exploring Portsmouth, within walking distance of great restaurants and attractions. While the dining experience exceeded my expectations with delicious options, it could have been a bit more upscale. Overall, the facilities were great, offering everything I needed for a comfortable stay.

The dining experience was far above 'continental,' featuring delicious options like deviled eggs and caprese. However, it could have been a little more dressed up.

My stay at the hotel was a mix of positive and negative experiences. The location was beautiful and perfect for walking to all the places we needed, but the rooms had a unique layout that lacked some comfort features. The service was responsive to our needs, yet a bit disinterested at times. The dining options offered healthy choices, but were limited. Despite its quirks, the hotel provided a convenient base for exploring the area.
